Irregardless of slopes, bicycles and heads are still used to transport goods up and down these mountains. I'm just in awe when I see them.
As we approached our destination the trees 'faded' into lush pasture land on continuing mountain slopes. On these slopes we are probably near 3000 metres above see level. The air temperature is almost consistently in the 25c range...very comfortable especially since we're about 2 degrees south of the equator only few days past the spring equinox; so great for holsteins or friesian cows as they're called here.
